Offers: Buyers vs. Sellers

This guide walks you through managing offers on Fanable, with steps for both buyers and sellers, followed by an FAQ section to answer common questions.
For Buyers: Making an Offer
Find the Item:
Navigate to the product detail page of the collectible you’re interested in by clicking on the item’s thumbnail.
Make an Offer:
Click the make offer button to bring up the offer window (pop-up on mobile or drawer menu on web).
Enter the amount you wish to offer (e.g. $105.95) and choose the duration (1, 3, 7, 30, or 90 days).
Confirm:
After submitting your offer, a toast notification will confirm that it’s been successfully placed. If the seller accepts your offer, you will receive a notification to complete the purchase. You’ll have 24 hours to finalize the payment.
Failure to complete payment within this time frame will result in a strike under Fanable’s strike policy. If the seller doesn’t accept your offer, it will be rejected, and you can submit a better one if you choose. Your active offers will restart if your offer is rejected.
For Sellers: Responding to Offers
View Offers:
You can view active offers in the offers tab under your profile page (next to your items and unopened tabs) or directly on the product detail page. You’ll also receive a notification when a new offer is made on one of your collectibles.
Accept or Decline Offers:
Review the offers and decide whether to accept or decline.
Wait for Payment:
Once you’ve accepted an offer, the buyer has 24 hours to complete the payment. If payment is not completed in time, the offer will expire and the buyer may receive a strike.
Fanable Strikes: How It Works
Once your offer is accepted, you have 24 hours to complete the payment. If you miss the payment window, here’s what happens next:
First Strike: Just a Heads-Up
Missed the 24-hour window? No worries! We’ll send you a friendly reminder, with no penalties this time around.
Second Strike: A Short Break
In the second instance, your account will be restricted from making offers for 24 hours. It’s a quick reset to help you refocus.
Third Strike: A Longer Time-Out
On the third missed payment, your account will be restricted from making offers for 14 days to ensure fairness for everyone.
Fourth Strike: Account Suspension (Review Required)
After the fourth time, your account will be suspended from listing, buying, or making offers. We’ll review the situation, and you’ll have a chance to appeal.
For Serious Violations:
If there’s a serious issue, such as fraud or harmful behavior, we may proceed directly to an immediate ban after just one strike. Protecting our community is a top priority, and we take these matters very seriously.

Managing Offers
When it comes to offers on Fanable, you can manage the offers you receive and the ones you make. Here’s a breakdown of what you can do under each:
Offers Received As a seller, you can manage the offers you receive on your collectibles. Here’s how:
Accept Offers: When you receive an offer on one of your items, you can choose to accept it. Once accepted, the buyer has 24 hours to complete the payment.
Decline Offers: If the offer doesn’t meet your expectations, you can easily decline it. This allows you to reject any low offers or ones that don’t fit your selling strategy.
Offers Made
As a buyer, you can manage offers that you’ve made on other users’ collectibles. Here’s what you can do:
Withdraw Offers: If you change your mind or want to adjust your strategy, you can cancel any offer you’ve made before it’s accepted. This allows you to retract offers that haven’t been finalized yet.
Declined Offers: If your offer is declined, you can submit a new offer, taking into account the feedback or current market value of the item.
Track Offers
In the offers tab under your profile (next to the items and unopened tabs), you can track both offers you’ve made and received. This section allows you to view important details such as the item, offer amount, expiration date, and available quick actions (e.g., accept, decline, or cancel).
Q: What does Active Offers mean?
A: Active offers are the total number of live offers you’ve placed that haven’t yet been accepted, declined, or canceled. Your Fanable Level determines how many active offers you can have at any time, allowing you to engage in the marketplace based on your activity level. Q: What is a Fanable Level?
A: Your Fanable Level is based on your total transaction volume. It determines benefits like how many active offers you can make at once. As your volume increases, your level goes up, unlocking more offers and lower seller fees. Q: Can I cancel my offer before it’s accepted?
A: Yes! You can cancel an offer anytime before it’s accepted. Just go to the offers tab in your profile or use the quick actions menu. Q: Can sellers counter-offer?
A: Not yet! Currently, there’s no option to counter-offer. Make sure to submit your best offer from the start.
