Buying collectibles on the Fanable marketplace is simple and secure. Whether you’re just starting or are an experienced collector, this section will guide you through the exact steps for making a purchase and what to expect afterward.

Account balance to buy an item can only be used after user has a Stripe account connected. The balance has to cover the entire transaction, it can not be split between a cc card and balance

How to Buy Collectibles

1. Sign Up or Log In

• If you don’t have an account, creating one is quick and easy—it only takes a minute. Provide your email, verify your account by clicking the link we send you (check spam folder), and you’re good to go.

• Already have an account? Simply log in using your email. No passwords needed—just a verification code sent directly to your inbox.

1. Browse and Filter Collectibles

• Use the search bar and filters to easily explore the marketplace, from Comic Books and Trading Cards to Video Games and more. You can also filter by price, year, grade, and other metrics to refine your search and find exactly what you’re looking for.

1. Make a Purchase

• Once you’ve found the item you want, click on Buy Now. You’ll be prompted to select a payment method directly at checkout.

• Payment options include debit/credit cards (3.3% fee), Apple Pay, Google Pay (3.3% fee), Klarna (6.3% fee), or Link (no additional fee).

• Confirm your payment, and after a successful transaction, the item will be added to your collection.

1. Post-Purchase Experience

After completing your purchase, you’ll be directed to a confirmation screen with different options depending on the type of collectible you bought:

• Drop (Mystery Case): After purchasing a mystery case from a drop, you can either open the case immediately or keep it closed. If you’ve purchased multiple cases (up to a maximum of 10 per drop), you can open them one by one or keep some sealed for future resale on the marketplace.

• Marketplace Purchase: When you buy individual collectibles from the marketplace (non-mystery case), you’ll have the option to view collection or continue to browse marketplace for more items.

• Marketplace (Mystery Case): f you bought a sealed mystery case from the marketplace, you will still have the option to open it immediately or keep it closed for potential resale. Sealed cases can be resold at any time in the marketplace without opening them.

What Happens If Payment Fails

If your payment fails during checkout, here’s what you can expect:

• Notification: You’ll receive an alert indicating the issue (e.g., insufficient funds, incorrect payment details, etc.).

• Retry: You’ll have the option to retry the transaction by correcting your payment details or selecting another payment method.

For drops, the collectible is reserved for 5 minutes. If payment isn’t completed within that time, it will become available again in the drop pool for others to buy.

For marketplace purchases, there’s no time limit.

Making a Purchase Without an Account

You need an account to make purchases on the Fanable marketplace. Creating one takes just a minute, and without it, you won’t be able to complete transactions, manage your collection, or track purchases.
